OVERVIEW: The APK-9 Datalink pod is two-way datalink used with the Kh-59 series ASM.

DETAILS: The APK-9 guidance pod is equipped with front and rear hemisphere antennas, allowing weapon guidance after the carrier aircraft reverses course after launch. allowing the aircraft to break off after launching, without entering into the zone of the antiaircraft fire.
