OVERVIEW: The AN/ALQ-131 jammer is a broadband Noise and Deception Jamming Pod.
DETAILS: The AN/ALQ-131 provides self protection jamming against pulse doppler or CW jamming threats, using a combination of noise, repeater or transponder electronic jamming techniques.
NOTES: Initially deployed in the 1970's and subsequently upgraded AN/ALQ-131(V) and AN/ALQ-131 Block II configurations. Uses a modular design, allowing it to be configured for a variety of threats. Used with A-7, A-10, C-130, AC-130, F-4, F-15, F-16, F-111, F-105. Used by eleven countries, including Belgium, Egypt, Japan, the Neterlands, and the United States.
